Martin T. Harris

Martin T. Harris is a graduate of the University of California and serves as a Law Clerk of the Law Offices of Mark T. Harris in Sacramento, California.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Management.  While attending the University of California, he interned for Former State Senator Curren Price and Former Assembly Speaker Karen Bass at the California State Capitol.  In the summer of 2012, Mr. Harris interned for Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP in Washington D.C.  His internship responsibilities included research in the field of intellectual property and international relations.  

Subsequently, he participated in the University of California District of Columbia program (UCDC). In the UCDC program, he exposed himself to the national scene of politics and public policy. Internships are deemed as an integral part of the UCDC experience; as a result, he interned for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).  While at the USOC, he served under the Managing Director and performed research on sustainability and green energy at Olympic facilities and venues.  He also produced speaking points on efforts to reduce green house gas emissions for the Bicameral Task Force on global climate change.After receiving his B.A. degree, he worked as the Chief of Staff for New Faze Development in Sacramento, CA.  He was in charge of heading public private partnerships that involved community outreach and development.  He also served as the primary staff support for the company president.  Then, he worked in the Chief Clerk’s Office at the California State Legislature.  He served as the Amending Clerk under “Parliamentarian” of the Assembly Dotson Wilson.  

In addition to his education and work experience, Martin excelled as a student-athlete receiving all-conference recognition in basketball.  He has traveled to Shanghai, China and coached youth basketball for Nike and currently coaches the Sacramento “Rollin Kings” wheelchair basketball team in Sacramento, California.  He has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe.  He is also a native of Sacramento, CA and attended Christian Brothers High School.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, J.D. Class of 2019.
