Eric M. Harris, J.D.

Eric Harris is an associate with the Law Offices of Mark T. Harris.  In addition, he is a member of the staff of Councilmember Allen W. Warren of Sacramento, California.  Eric Harris is on the campaign staff for United States Representative Barbara Lee of the 13th District of California.  Mr. Harris is also a co-host on the radio show, the Family Matters Forum on 97.5 KDEE FM in Sacramento, California.

Mr. Harris attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Africana Studies degree with a minor in Political Science.  While at the University of Arizona, Mr. Harris had the privilege of interning for United States Representative Barbara Lee of California in Washington, D.C. He was then asked by Congresswoman Lee to be a Congressional Black Caucus Emerging Leader.  Mr. Harris was a summer associate for the Law Offices of John L. Burris in Oakland, California.  

While in Law School at the University of Oregon School of Law, Mr. Harris interned at the Democratic National Committee in Washington, D.C.  He has also been an advocate for people with disabilities throughout the country.  Mr. Harris spoke at the Democratic National Committee in Charlotte, North Carolina on behalf of college students with disabilities.  He was Deputy General Counsel at New Faze Development, a development company in Sacramento.

Mr. Harris spent a summer working for the American Association for People with Disabilities (AAPD) in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Harris has a passion for civil rights, disability rights, politics and sports.  He hopes to continue to be a voice for people who do not have one.
